Database Programmer / Analyst

The Louis Berger Group, Inc. (LBGI) a U.S. firm contracted by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to implement the Growth with Equity in Mindanao (GEM) Program is inviting interested and qualified professionals to submit their expressions of interest and qualifications statement for possible hiring under the GEM Program as Database Programmer/Analyst.
The Database Programmer / Analyst will provide programming support for the development, operation and implementation of the GEM-3 Data Management System (DMS), Program Management system (PMS), the GIS System, and other systems to be developed as needed.
In addition to programming and maintaining operation of the GEM-3 MIS Systems, duties will include up-keep of the systems, managing backup systems, archiving, training of staff, technology transfer and assisting GEM-3 staff in report preparation and mapping requirements and other related activities as may be required.
The Programmer will report and be supervised by the GEM-3 MIS Specialist. His/her base of assignment is the GEM Project Management Office in Davao City.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any IT related course
- At least 3 year(s) professional experience in database programming, analysis and development
- Experience with programming languages such as Visual Basic, Visual Foxpro, VB.NET, ASP, ASP.NET MS SQL/MySQL and with a strong foundation in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Can work under pressure and can do multiple projects simultaneously with ability to prioritize issues and meet project deadlines.
- With good interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in Infrastructure related projects or activities is an advantage
A competitive compensation package will be offered to the successful candidate. The initial contract period is for one-year which may be renewed subject to satisfactory performance.
